I’ve been studying the character traits of the Shunemmite woman in II Kings 4. Remember the beautiful story of the wealthy woman who built a room for Elisha to stay in when he visited her city? He wanted to bless her for her giving nature, so he prophesied she would have a child within a year. A child was the one thing she wanted, but couldn’t have. One day this son was out in the field with his father and complained of pain in his head. The father sent him to his mother who held him in her arms until he died. She immediately took a trip to Mt.
