One of the things that God is speaking to us at Transforming Women is his desire for teenagers to know who they are in Christ. The world tells them on a daily basis - through the media, their friends, and Hollywood - who they should be. With all the pressures they face, it’s no wonder God is concerned that they be well grounded in their identity.

For several years, many of our teenage daughters have accompanied their mothers to our Transforming Women meetings.

Talk about surprising! Most young girls would rather be at home on the telephone than attending a meeting. We were thrilled to see their interest, and loved their eagerness to soak up our monthly teachings from God’s Word. We call them forward in our meetings, give them butterfly necklaces to remind them they are being transformed by the love of Christ, and exhort them to dedicate themselves fully to the Lord.

The results? Transforming Young Women, a group of teenagers who want to make a difference now. Their mission statement:

We believe we have been created on purpose for a purpose. We want to know Christ Jesus intimately and make a difference in the lives of others as a result of receiving the unconditional love of God.
